CAMARGO HUNT

About the Hunt

About the Hunt

The Camargo Hunt is one of the oldest hunts in North America. We pursue the thrill of the chase along with great social and equestrian activities. We ride in picturesque areas of southwestern Ohio and northern to central Kentucky. The country varies from trails in wooded areas to open fields to the hills of middle Kentucky.

THE MASTERS

A Master of Foxhounds is a person in charge of a hunt.  Today, Camargo has two joint masters who devote their time, energy, and passion to our club and to the sport.

Master Natalie Nesbit leads the field on a very snowy opening day.

JOINT MASTER

Natalie Nesbitt, MFH

While Natalie grew up riding in Indian Hill, it wasn’t until she was an adult that one of her good friends, a Camargo member, introduced her to fox hunting.  She joined Camargo Hunt as a social member around 1990, and bought her first hunt horse, Smokey, not long after.  She jumped in with both feet and never looked back.  She has hunted as much as possible over these last 30+ years.

Natalie has been a joint MFH since 2012, and in that role enjoys taking care of the hunting and hounds aspects of Camargo Hunt.  She has also served on the Board of Directors, was the secretary of the Hunt, and has served on most committees.  She continues to enjoy all aspects of fox hunting and the lasting friendships she has made over the years.

Morley Thompson Jr, MFH

JOINT MASTER

MORLEY THOMPSON JR, MFH

Morley started hunting with Camargo in the early 1970s. He started whipping-in in the early 90s and became a joint MFH in 2003. Depending on the day and location, he may whip-in or lead first field. Of the many great aspects of fox hunting, his favorite parts are the art and science of hunting with hounds and the thrill of a good chase.

In addition to fox hunting, Morley has been very involved in eventing for decades. Beyond being an avid competitor he also volunteers regularly at events and has been an officer and board member of the US Eventing Association.
