Tailgaters

At equestrian events, tailgating rules typically focus on safety, minimizing disruption to the
competition, and ensuring a comfortable experience for all attendees.

● Tailgate Parking: Parking is assigned to specific areas, and spaces may not be moved
throughout the day unless for emergency purposes or with event personnel approval.
● Tent Size and Design: 10x10 pop-up tents are permitted, but larger tents require prior
approval from the event organizers. Decorations must be kept within size limits and avoid
being distracting to the horses or riders.
● Vehicle Restrictions: Limit vehicle sizes to passenger vehicles, SUVs, or standard-sized
pickup trucks. Prohibited are: RV's, and buses.
● Cooking: Gas, wood, and charcoal grills are allowed. Grills must be contained and kept
away from high traffic areas.
● Noise and Disruptions: Live music, amplified sound systems, and loud activities are
prohibited to avoid disturbing the horses, riders, and fellow spectators.
● Safety: Rules regarding open flames, electrical equipment, and the placement of tents
are in place to ensure the safety of both attendees and the animals. Tents may not be
moved from organizer’s placement.
● Dogs: Dogs are required to be leashed and under control.
● Setup and Removal: Setup times and removal deadlines: Friday, noon - 7 PM and the
field will open at 7am the day of the event. Removal must be by the end of the event.
“Leave no trace” place your trash in the provided location and double check your area for
any debris that may be left behind.
