Established in 1925

The Camargo Hunt is one of the oldest hunts in North America. Our members cover all age groups and all walks of life. They share a love of the outdoors,  wildlife habitat conservation, of horses, and of the sport of foxhunting. We pursue the thrill of the chase along with great social and equestrian activities. We ride in  picturesque areas of southwestern Ohio and northern to central Kentucky. The country varies from trails in wooded areas to open fields to the hills of middle Kentucky.

As is the tradition in North America, The Camargo Hunt practices and supports an emphasis on fox chasing, not fox catching. It is our goal and practice to enjoy the thrill of a good run and yet have the quarry there to pursue on another day.

In addition to foxhunting, The Camargo Hunt organizes a number of Special Events. They include the annual Camargo Hunter Trials, our monthly Third Thursday  dinners, summer trail rides, our Cross Country Clinic in early Fall, Pace events, and  our Spring Gala, a fun evening of cocktails, dinner, and dancing along with a silent and live auction.

Our magazine, Hark Together, well represents the fun filled, exciting events just completed. View it to see pictures and learn more about all our activities.

We welcome non-riding guests at all our events and encourage those who are capable riders and are interested in learning more about foxhunting in our area to contact us.
